10. September 2010
Very early in the morning, at 4h Blasorchester Istra arrived in Bad Orb. One after the other, all participants arrived over the day. The Fanfarengarde from Frankfurt/Oder completed the participants list with their arrival at 23h.
Punctually at 18h the program started.
 
After successfully tapping the barrel of beer by our patron Jacob de Haan, 
Kurdirektor Dr. Jörg Steinhardt declared open the 11th Internationales Musikfest der Jugend Europas in Bad Orb.

8. September 2010
The first participants arrived in Bad Orb.  

Buccheri Brass Band aus Sizilien landed at 11:30h on Rhein-Main-Airport. Already in the evening they participated the common rehearsal of the two Bad Orb orchestras.
Tommorow we're awaitung the arrival of Lúðrasveitin Svanur, Reykjavík (IS) 
and City of Swansea Concert Band (UK)

1. September 2010
A sound-recording-team from Hit Radio FFH, a successful acting local broadcast station, took records during the common rehearsal of the both Bad Orb orchestras.
Their record will be on air on 4.+ 5. September and maybe on 10. September

We extraordinilary regret that Blasorchester "Kresimir" Kutina from Croatia cancelled their participation today.

23. August 2010

The Café Sprudel (Bernd Theilmann) will offer a dish of ice-cream to the young musicians for free.

21. August 2010

A lot of busy members of the Musikverein, the  Geselligkeitsverein Viktoria, the Turnverein and the Feuerwehr pitched the festival's marquee.
Last week there happened the event of the Bad Orber Kerb (kermis) . On Wednesday, 8.9.10 the marquee will be extended for 10m, now having an extend of 60m. After 4 weeks standing, it will be removed on 20th September after the "Spessartchallenge", which is a sports-event of the Turnverein Bad Orb.

The windorchestra from Poland "Młodzieżowa Orkiestra Dęta OSP w Rychnowie" announced their participation.
They will participate for the 1st time.

The Studentswindorchester of the technical University Riga/Latvia, which participated the 2004 Bad Orb Festival, announced their participation today.
Thanks a lot to Uschi & Wilfried Herold. Only their commitment made it possible for the group to participate.

The Festival's ORGA-Team took the chance to take a new picture during the last meeting and likes to present themselves.

Jacob de Haan took over the patronage of the Festival.
According to actuel plans he will be present in Bad Orb during the whole festivals duration.
